About this rating

Raw average: 4.33/5 from 3 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

Professor Brown does a wonderful job with this course. Attendance is not required, but I highly recommend going to every class. She makes lectures very engaging, and if you attend and take notes, it is much easier to complete the 2 papers and 2 exams. I highly recommend taking this class, especially if Professor Brown is the instructor.

She is a good lecturer and I really appreciated how she implemented class participation into lecture. Attendance isn't mandatory but she doesn't post slides and you need the info from the slides in order to do well. All exams are online, open note and the class is graded by 2 essays and 2 exams.

Decent amount of reading for required discussion section. No lecture notes posted. Exams were all online and fairly easy. Two papers and attendance made up the rest of the grade.
