Professor Bent was amazing! His canvas was super organized, the grading rubric for papers/assignments was straightforward, and he held exam review sessions where he would give exam hints. Bent is an amazing professor, you will learn SO much from him. The assigned readings seem like a lot, but all the learning is done through discussions on them so definitely read before class. He is definitely a character, that is the best way I can describe him. Lectures are pretty useless but are required. Everything you need for the exams are on the slides and the exams are pretty straightforward. He can't get enough of the Irish potato famine.Rate My Professors ↗
Dr. Bent is decent at teaching content, but his lectures are laced with a pretentiousness (MIT alum) that's a turn-off for interest in the content. Unlike prior course professors, he requires textbook reading, and you won't understand the lecture content unless you read the book.
