  • Describe connections between advanced mathematics and the content typically found in middle and high school mathematics curriculum.

  • Recall and state alternate definitions, extensions, and constructions of content typically found in middle and high school mathematics curriculum.

  • Demonstrate symbolic and computational proficiency.

  • Justify mathematical reasoning as a means to deepen understanding.

  • Analyze multiple solution strategies from a mathematical perspective (e.g. understanding different approaches to solving a problem, assessing whether a strategy generalizes, making connections between strategies, examining student strategies when appropriate etc.).

  • Explain mathematics to others and assess the mathematical understanding of others.
