She creates a very positive and welcoming classroom environment and is approachable when students need help. Her lectures are engaging, and she explains concepts clearly with helpful examples that make the material easier to understand. Uchita is the most amazing professor I've ever had. DS 221 is such an interesting class, and her lectures are excellent. She responds to emails super fast, is always available outside of class, super knowledgeable, and is just a fantastic person overall. Knowledgeable, passionate, and cares about her students! Graded only on 3 exams, 2 projects, and Discussion participation. Covers fairly simple material on the posted lecture slides, but worth attending lectures only to take notes on specific studies about concepts, which are asked on exams.
