About this rating

Raw average: 3.21/5 from 53 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

MATH 341

She probably knows her stuff, but her lecture assumes you already understand most of the content before the class. Wouldn't pass without reading the textbook over and over again. Exams are reasonably hard, but gives unreasonably limited amount of time for solving them! It assumes that you don't need to think before writing hard proofs.

She always begins a class with what she taught last class and gives a lot of examples, so it's easy to catch up in the class. Her homework is not too hard but interesting, so it's worth to spend time on it. Even though I'm not a big fan of algebra even after taking this class, I think she did a good job on teaching and recommend to take her class!

MATH 376
Quality 5/5Difficulty 4/5
She is awesome!!! As a geometer, she uses graphs to help us understand everything! The course is challenging and the people in this class are all very smart so prepare for some long nights. But, if you love math, the experience is awesome. Overall, She is funny, caring, enthusiastic and a great teacher.

I love Tullia. The 375/376 sequence is one of the most difficult things I have ever done, but it is completely worth it. Tullia is so enthusiastic and willing to help, and her jokes are terrible. I admire and respect her and hope to be just like her someday.

MATH 376
Quality 4/5Difficulty 4/5
Loved the 375/376 honors sequence. First semester was much harder for me, but with a much smaller class in 376, Prof Dymarz knows all of us personally and works hard to make us understand while also introducing us to cool outside math concepts along the way. Taking this sequence was an awesome challenge and learning experience.

MATH 375
Quality 5/5Difficulty 5/5
Math 375 is an very hard class. It is proof-based math. Tullia is one of the best people who could be teaching it. She is incredibly helpful during office hours, and is one of my favorite professors ever. The material is very theoretical because that is what the class is. If you want a lot of examples take something else; here you'll get proofs.
