Exams are more about concepts than pure memorization, so don't overcomplicate it too much! He welcomes questions and is very passionate and informed on the subject- funny, too!

Clearly knowledgeable about Oceanography. Lectures were good, though sometimes they didn't stay on topic. Assigned readings were fine and totally optional. Grade was based on short, easy weekly quizzes, homework assignments which varied substantially in difficulty/time, a relaxed small group presentation, a short final paper, and participation.

Till is a great guy and a pretty decent professor. I struggled to understand some of the science portions of this class from just the lectures, however, the readings "assigned" with them were clarifying. Overall, interesting class and fun professor.

Prof Wagner is obviously very passionate and knowledgable about the subject he teaches but it seems like he sometimes forgets that we aren't as knowledgable. Lecture slides consist mainly of photos so if you miss class you're out of luck. He is a very funny and caring professor though and as long as you pay attention/study its not that bad.

Till was a great professor! Very knowledge and respects students. The tests aren't incredibly difficult and discussions are mandatory attendance. Generous professor, and not doom-and-gloom which was appreciated in a climate change class! Tip: ask what is actually included on the exams so you can take better notes. Don't skip lecture!

only prof I ever had at UW that showed up to class late every day. Lectures were long and confusing at times, and you'll never be able to understand lecture unless you show up to class. Reading them after will not help. Exams are tough, and there is so much math in a class that is about climate change. Till's personable but not a great lecturer.
