About this rating

Raw average: 4.61/5 from 28 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

Fine class and material, not very clear that the 3 exams make up the complete grade for the course. I would also like to say that this woman has had the worst superiority complex over students, I have had comments on papers that seem more like personal jabs than actual comments. I'm avoiding Brantly and this department going forward, no thanks.

This class ROCKS for an online literature class. Quizzes, readings, and discussions (easy to earn extra credit) every week and three lengthy essay exams. The readings are interesting but sometimes a bit heavy, and Brantly's online lectures are well-structured and help the more confusing stories make sense. Take it if you need a literature credit!

Dr. Brantly is a great professor. All of the texts we read were extremely interesting (in my opinion). She unpacks the deeper meaning of the text during the lecture. She is so incredibly knowledgeable and she gives great feedback on all of the assignments. Some might say her grading is hard, it has expectations, but it is a literature class.

I took a class with her that I had no experience with and it was super interesting and accessible. She is very well informed and does a great job teaching.

Brantly is amazing!!!! She REALLY knows her stuff. It was incredibly fun to learn about such a niche topic. I took this on a whim and am really glad that I did. She is passionate, accessible, and hilarious. The readings are pretty engaging too. The books are interesting and fun. Finals are easy if you study.
