About this rating

Raw average: 4.81/5 from 57 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

I've never had a professor who loves his job more. Professor Meyers is interesting to listen to, has cool lectures, and turns a gen-ed credit (for most) into something fun. Definitely take this class if you need a science credit, you'll really enjoy your time with professor Meyers!

I'm not into science I found this class very manageable. You can use your notes on the final and he even gives "free exam questions" throughout the year (make sure to write those down). There are some Canvas quizzes that you have ~1.5 days to complete, and those are also open-note. Would recommend if you're looking for an easy science course!

Meyers LOVE his work and is very passionate about the subject. Good intro course and easy for non-stem majors. Gives lots of free exam questions during class for the online quizzes and final. Labs were pretty easy too. As long as you show up to lecture and take good notes you'll do great.

LOVE HIM! Easily the best professor I have had at UW so far. He makes his lectures so engaging and interesting. There was never any HW, really. Attendance is based on "gots and nots", which take 2 seconds, and you don't really need to go to the lecture to do them. Final was light, just take notes and get free exam questions from the lecture

Professor Stephen Meyers I one of the best professors I've had so far at UW-Madison. He makes a geology course actually incredibly entertaining and is an overall really funny guy.

I love this class! I took it for a lab credit and truly such a nice guy! I would take this again, attendance is based on a got/not that you have 24 hours to fill out, so you don't need to go to the lecture.
