He failed to cover many of the topics mentioned in the syllabus, he spent most of his time talking about the basics of abstract algebra, number theory, and philosiphising on the best way to teach math. He was extremely combative with students, sometimes spending entire class periods arguing with students during their in-class presentations.

He introduces the linear algebra from Categroy theory. He massivly uses ring theory, or natural isomorphism to introduces theorems in Linear Algebra. It's worth nothing to take this course to understand how to apply linear algebra on engineering. But it's very useful if you view Linear Algebra II as an introduction to math structure.

The single worst professor I've ever had, not even close. You will not learn anything; his course is organized extremely poorly with awful explanations and no standards for work. It's evident how little he cares. I guess one nice thing about his total lack of effort is that he will give you a good grade no matter what, but you won't learn a thing.

He always want to make extra connections with students but in the wrong places and time. His quiz and homework are very easy and do not need effort to earn an A. He is a nice guy but wrong professor to inspire students and force students to study.

Professor's teaching was not it for me. His content presentation is chaotic. He throws random examples at you & fails to build new knowledge on top of existing, presents concepts "in a vacuum". Poor verbal explanation skills. HOWEVER, the grading criteria is clear and he's always accessible outside class. Avoid if you want to actually learn things

Professor Gurevich is a great professor who is passionate about maths. Lectures are mostly clear though can be hard to follow at times. Expect to spend a lot of time on homework but he gives many hints if not outright answers in recorded Zoom meetings. You can learn nothing and still get an A, but if you put in the work you can learn a lot.
