I would rather be hit by a bus then sit through another minute of his class. Proof based linear algebra in which we didn't learn what we were supposed to. The university overturned his grades sine he failed most of the class.Rate My Professors ↗
Sean's an awesome teacher. The best math teacher I've ever had. Extremely patient and charismatic in explaining topics. I would highly recommend this class if you seriously enjoyed linear Algebra. The material covered is similar in spirit, although much more interesting.Rate My Professors ↗
Pros: He explains material very well. His lectures are helpful. His tests asked fair questions. He is the teacher you want for an upper-level math class. You will learn a lot. Cons: He gives a lot of homework. His grading policy is tough. He refused to discuss how the class would be curved, if at all. You'll have to put in a good amount of work.Rate My Professors ↗
Delivery of the material is incredibly well thought out. Starts out building up theory for things you're pretty comfortable with, then he shows how those ideas work in increasing levels of abstraction. Homeworks and lectures are very thought provoking. I really liked his class and teaching style. He gives plenty of time in lecture for you to process the information and ask questions. He always answered all questions really well and encouraged us to think for ourselves. Homework was vital and extremely helpful to understanding the material. Homeworks had a definitive purpose and were awesome at helping you understand the material, where you explored things that we went over in lecture in much more detail.
