Professor Bishop is an incredibly kind and insightful person, and always organizes great class discussion. The readings can be a bit heavy, but as long as you keep up with the work the class is easy. This class is marketed as a literature class, but it can be argued that it is more a creative writing class. The main focus of this course is to write in a journal (almost everyday), along with in class discussions about the readings, among other things. You do not have to do everything to get an A and Sean is an amazing professor. 100% recommend!Rate My Professors ↗
I took "The Writer's Notebook" section of ENGL 169 with Sean. It was a creative writing class focused on journaling and it was amazing. You did not have to do every aspect of the class to get an A. Sean was a great professor for our class on Literary Publishing. He cared so much about helping us succeed in this field. He really wants us to do well.
