I'm a software dev now. This was the most worthwhile class I took at UW. The lectures and reading are tedious but I apply them in my work every day. It is one of those classes where you get what you put in. Scott isn't even really mean, just don't take it personally and read the syllabus before asking course questions. Literally just rants half the time. Lectures are pointless and have no substance, literally just him ranting about whatever side tangent comes across his mind.
