Sara is a great professor! However she is one of those professors that will make you buy her book to read for class. The entire class is based around the book so if you don't read you won't pass. She only comes to class sometimes but there is always a TA. Overall, a decent professor.Rate My Professors ↗
Rather than being an intellectual super-force she is more focused on the applications of her work. And for that, and her courage, I admire her. She is accessible, quick to reply and really honest. She's an excellent professor! In the classroom, she is an inspirational teacher. She is well-prepared, gives great feedback on assignments (& does so in a timely manner), and adjusts well to different learning styles. Sara Goldrick-Rab, or SGR, is an academic force. She is a powerful combination of brilliance, integrity and passion. It was an honor to take a class with her.
