Super easy course and all you really have to do is do the reading before class and say a couple things about it in discussion. She's really nice and does a good job at explaining some of the more confusing readings. 10/10

If you're looking for a sign to take a course taught by Professor Wells - this is it. She is such an amazing professor who cares about her students and the material that we discuss. Sometimes readings can get long or confusing, but she does a fantastic job of explaining them in class. Our class discussions were thought provoking and fun.

Note: I had her for ENGL141 Her lectures were so boring that I could not focus on them. Also, all of the books she made us read were tragic and had children, dogs, and any life form conceivable being tortured in every possible way you could imagine. I didn't do some of the readings because they pissed me off so much.

Professor Wells is easily one of my favorite professors I have had at UW thus far. While the class was more work than anticipated, Wells truly cares about engaging and stimulating student interest in the content. I thoroughly enjoyed coming to discussion every week because Professor Wells is extremely intelligent and passionate about this content.

This professor is so passionate about the course material and does a great job stimulating student interest. Participation is required, so get ready to share your opinion and answer questions in lecture and discussion. Reading assignments can be long, and they are required due to pop quizzes and because they are the basis of lecture and exams.
