About this rating

Raw average: 5.00/5 from 5 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

Sage was a great professor to have during a COVID semester. He was flexible with his instruction style (recorded his live lectures, prerecorded example videos) and had two office hours per week. Assignments were not needlessly tedious and always left me with a better understanding of the course material. Pay attention and you will do just fine.

Was an excellently designed class with just the right amount of theory, thermodynamics and application. His competence showed through; he took any question you could ask and made sure you got it. Homework ensures you understand what's going on but you can breeze through them. Strongly recommend this course to anybody.

Was his first time teaching the class and had big shoes to fill as the previous professor was a legend in the engine community. But he was at ease teaching the class. The lectures were to the point and the homework's and class projects were very practical and focused on the fundamentals. There wasn't a question he couldn't answer. Great professor!
