She never gives up on any of her students, she might force you to participate, but that is why you will learn so fast.

Paola doesn't want to be a grammar fascist. She wants to be a fun teacher, and she is. She recognizes that talking and writing are more important than grammar nitpicking (which isn't to say there's none.) Tests weren't intense on grammar specifics. Also: don't buy the book! We never used ours.

Paola was one of the best language teachers I've ever had! She was extremely helpful and always came up with creative and fun ways to help us integrate our "book-learning" of the language into real-world use, such as skyping with her students from Italy. If you have a chance to learn Italian from her, do it!
