Knowledgeable professor. Lectures and videos get a bit boring. Was mostly a paper driven class but clear expectations and willingness to take time outside of office hours to meet with students.

Nick has a wealth of knowledge and experience - he is clear in his lectures what is what, but the class content itself is very surface-level and micro. Nick has a pretty monotone voice and it's hard to pay attention - luckily, he puts so much info on the slides, you don't really need to attend lecture to get the content.

Nick Yackovich is extremely knowledgeable and talented at what he does. This class will push you out of your comfort zone, especially when you must lead your own group meeting. Nick really wants his students to succeed and offers as much help as he can to get them to a point of success.

Going into my last semester of college, I had this professor for both SW 453: Alcohol and Drug Abuse, and SW 664: Troubled and Delinquent Youth. I found both classes intriguing and gave me a great deal of practical skills. This professor ended up being one of my favorite in my undergraduate career, and we still keep in contact today!
