Dr. Grant is a great professor. She is very knowledgeable about the topics in the course. The course can be a bit reading heavy at times, but the reading isn' t hard. The class is discussion based so attendence was required,but it was a very enjoyable class. She is a very easy grader as long as you put in a good effort.Rate My Professors ↗
I took this class for an ethnic studies credit and found it somewhat difficult. It was very difficult to hear her during lectures. The tests were quite difficult and included random data and facts that were only ever talked about once or in the readings. Required lecture attendance. Class was not difficult, easy writing assignments but you need to really understand the material for the exams. She is a nice person but her lectures are hard to hear and she goes through the slides very quickly. She's very knowledgeable about everything she talks about, but it's hard to stay engaged during lecture. Two short papers that weren't too difficult to complete, but midterm pulls out random stats that were only mentioned in lecture or readings. Professor Grant is very knowledgeable and I learned a lot of helpful information from this course. There are a lot of dense readings and participation acitivities but nothing too overwhelming.
