Professor Jones seems really short via email, but in class is very outgoing and caring. Psych205 should be taken by any and all freshman psych majors--it allows you to meet professors, learn what they're studying, helps prepare you to be involved in research, and solidifies the love of psychology.Rate My Professors ↗
I recommend Psych 205 to every first-year psych major. This class is light on homework and super interesting. Each class a new researcher presents their work and it is legitimately interesting every week. She also has a lot of advice for class enrollment and teaches how to get involved in labs, research, service, etc. Super helpful.Rate My Professors ↗
This class was such a great experience to get me started off in the psych field. Mostly online discussions, weekly field reports, placement evaluations, and 1 project proposal due at the end of the semester. It'd be hard to not get an A.Rate My Professors ↗

Class isn't too bad, but there is a lot of assigned reading that isn't covered in lecture but is on exams. One easy paper and lots of extra credit offered. You should't skip class because lecture slides aren't posted online and there is pop-up extra credit offered at times.Rate My Professors ↗
Melanie was very enthusiastic and lively during lectures. She seems a little snarky at times but is very nice outside of class. The 3 exams are tough but you'll do fine if you read the textbook and attend lecture.Rate My Professors ↗
