Griffith has a very straightforward, organized approach to teaching a class. While the content is often difficult, he gives you the tools the need to succeed. Requirements were extremely clear, tests were rigorous but fair, and the cases well-developed.

Accounting 302: Griffith is def one of the best profs I've had at Madison. The class is hard (a lot harder than 301) and so are the exams, but he explains the content well and is always available to meet and help you (he cares a lot). The class is curved a lot (don't get discouraged by the syllabus). I would def take Griffith again!!1

I took Accounting 302 with Professor Griffith and he is definitely one of the best professors I have ever had. The content is challenging and so are the exams, but he explains content in a way that is easier to understand than the textbook. He is also very caring and always willing to help his students. I recommend taking Professor Griffith.

Took 302 online with Matt. Awesome guy, very knowledgeable, very good at teaching. He did a good job breaking down complicated concepts and was very accessible outside of class.

I would recommend Griffith to anyone! Although the content is difficult and so are the exams, he explains the concepts clearly and you work through problems similar to exams in class. He provides a ton of practice before exams that are super helpful as well. He is extremely responsive and always willing to help outside of class. 10/10 professor!

Griffith is great. I'll admit he talks SO fast, but if you record his lectures and listen to them at your own pace (and I like to transcribe them), he explains things really clearly. Plus, he shows us example problems that teach us things the textbook may have left out. He goes over quizzes/exams, which is very caring. Very accessible for help.

Professor Griffith was a very, very good professor with clear, easy-to-follow lectures. The material is somewhat difficult and the exams are as well, but that being said Professor Griffith explains the material very well and is extremely willing to help outside of class. I'd definitely recommend taking him for Accounting 301.

Griffith is a great professor. I don't like accounting but he is fantastic at explaining things and made an effort to make connections to current events. He cold calls but he's nice about it and will walk you through the problem if you don't get it. I would take him for any accounting class.

Absolute nicest professor ever. A great guy who definitely cares about his students. The number of hours he puts aside to be available to help you is insane. Super approachable and always willing to help.

Matt provides extremely thorough walk-thrus of practice problems that are similar to Wiley HW/exam questions in lecture and posts their solutions and detailed work after (unlike other 301 profs). Cold calls often but he genuinely cares about his students and lecture is always helpful.

Professor Griffith is super smart but has the unique ability to communicate information in a really clear and effective way. He also genuinely cares about his students and will work with you to help you gain a deeper understanding of the material. Despite being a habitual cold-caller, he's super cool and keeps lecture interesting.

Matt really cared that his students understood the material. He was great at answering questions and was available outside of class. Somewhat difficult class, but he gave a lot of examples and resources.
