Marie is an ABSOLUTE WEALTH OF FUNGAL/LICHEN KNOWLEDGE! She is very approachable, patient, & passionate about fungi. Okay, yes, the labs are chaotic. BUT! All labs are, and these ones were so interesting (if you like fungi). You'll learn a ton. Its worth it to take the lab for 332 because you'll get a LOT more out of it even if its a lot more work

Hard to understand and has horrible handwriting. The rubric for the assignments don't open until a day or two before it is due when we had been working on the projects for weeks with no instructions. Most labs are never given instructions in what to do or label. Very confusing, stressful, and worth a lot of your grade.

Marie ran the Fungi class lab and also gave a few lectures. She is so knowledgeable about the topic and it was great to learn from her. Make sure to read the pages she writes about the weekly labs. The projects have clear expectations and we were given lots of time in class to work on them and get help. I really enjoyed this class.
