About this rating

Raw average: 2.69/5 from 68 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

PSYCH 405
Quality 4/5Difficulty 3/5
I honestly really liked having Prof. Pflum. She's extremely familiar with the material but she's kind of hard to reach because she;s not just a professor. Her class is pretty straight forward, but exam heavy. She gave great EC though. Her lectures were very engaging because she used real examples. Pay attention in lec because it covers the textbook

I took my capstone with Prof. Pflum and it was an excellent class. Only one exam and a few other assignments. It was a really interesting and engaging class and I am so glad I took it!

PSYCH 405
Quality 4/5Difficulty 4/5
I honestly really liked her as a professor. As long as you stay up to date on readings, I didn't find this class too hard. Her exams are all based on content from her lectures. She is a very nice lady and I would recommend her to others.

PSYCH 405
Quality 3/5Difficulty 3/5
She is very knowledgeable, but lectures can be boring as the information on the slides is taken pretty much directly from the textbook. She explains everything very clearly and is willing to answer questions.

PSYCH 405
Quality 1/5Difficulty 4/5
Only professors ive had that were worse were chem profs. Her lectures are confusing, she never covers even close to what is on the exam, the exam wording is deceptive, treats the class as if she doesn't care about it or want anyone to succeed. expects everything out of you, nothing from herself, and claims students don't study enough

PSYCH 405
Quality 3/5Difficulty 5/5
Professor Pflum is generally good in lecturing, with her own field experience. A lot of class time is talking about the different perspectives on specific disorders. The test though, being all multiple-choice, is mainly on many factual info on the book, a lot of which uncovered in lectures. This means heavy workloads for tests
