Dr. Jacoby is a great professor and is definitely passionate about the classes she teaches. There were three big projects for the class, all of which were very time consuming and required many hours per week to be completed. There were also readings or homework that had to be completed prior to class. Overall not too difficult, just a lot of time.Rate My Professors ↗

I believe the 1.8/5 she has is VERY harsh. She has definitely improved her teaching style and how much homework she gives, and it is much easier to do well in the class. You choose a research topic YOU care about, then research it, write about it, and create an article on it over the course of the enitre semester. She's a good professor.Rate My Professors ↗
She gives out way more work than the other professors for this class. I had to write 15 pages for an intro college English class while other professors had their students write 2-3 pages for. Overall, a nice person just gives our wayyy too much work.Rate My Professors ↗
One of my least favorite professors I've had so far. Boring, hard grader, way too much homework, just overall bad wouldn't recommend.Rate My Professors ↗
Do not take this class with her. Way too much homework for such an unimportant course, I have never had my time wasted like I have with this class in my life. It was honestly ridiculous that I spent more time on her class than I did my core classes, she is insufferable.Rate My Professors ↗
Too much homework, felt like busy work all the time. She came up with a class theme which was "contested places" the class had to write about the same topic for the semester. She started year by saying writing is more fun when it is something you care about, then assigned the class with a theme no one was interested in. Didn't like her at all.Rate My Professors ↗
