I loved the readings and listening to her talk! That being said we got our first grade more than halfway through the semester. My grade was tanked by my participation score. I talked once per class but that was not enough which was frustrating to learn with only a few weeks left. Talk to her about your grade early in the year if you take this classRate My Professors ↗
Dr. Amine is approachable and clearly has tons of knowledge and passion for her work. Overall, my rating comes from a lack of clear grading policies, as the TA in the class generally graded based on arbitrary information not discussed before the assignment was due. The professor did not have any clear expectations for her students. Every week, points would be taken away for something different, and the TA wrote comments as if we were in an advanced English class. She changed the weekly assignments to quizzes, completely altering the course structure. Do not take this class, it's not even an English class.Rate My Professors ↗

Seems like a nice person but there are no rubric so it is very hard to know what is required. TA and professor will say that you need something but will still dox points or will not follow through. Lecture are boring and forgettable. Idk how she has a rating above 2 because this is easily the worst class. Its on par with victor jew with the amount of reading (150 pages a week :) ). The grading is even worse since theres no rubric and you will get points off stuff that IS NEVER MENTIONED ANYWHERE and you will get blamed for it. Fantastic classRate My Professors ↗
