He once did a problem where the angles of a triangle were labeled as an obtuse triangle, a triangle with a right angle and an acute triangle. The sides were just larger versions of each triangle.Rate My Professors ↗

I took Calc II with Professor Choi. The material is difficult, and the lectures are not always clear. There is no textbook - just a course packet that's not always helpful. The tests were extremely hard, but the curve is forgiving. Be ready to spend a lot of time outside class trying to figure out problems. Discussions were not very helpful either.Rate My Professors ↗

Has a pretty tough accent to get used to, but you get used to it after a while if you pay attention. His lecture notes are worth writing down like 90% of the time: he gives good examples. Your TA will make or break you, if you end up with a cruddy TA, it's not hard to go to another, either for discussion or lecture. Make sure you go hard on HW.Rate My Professors ↗

He does have accent but it's not a big problem. He doesn't explain much as like American teachers do, but he can explain problems pretty clear. His notes are very organized and examples are helpful to the exams. If you understand the lecture notes well and review the problems in the book before the tests, the exams are fair games.Rate My Professors ↗

Cannot understand why other people give him such low rate. He shows how to finish the examples on the lecture and the examples are useful. Explains students questions well if you ask him after the lecture. His accent is not a problem.Rate My Professors ↗

Professor Choi was a better professor than I had expected. He isn't that hard to understand, and his lectures are him going through the textbook - helpful. I found exams to not be impossible, probably because I did my homework and went to every lecture and discussion. Applies curve after final exam. Allows a note sheet for midterms AND final exam!Rate My Professors ↗
