About this rating

Raw average: 2.16/5 from 19 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

Shouldn't be a professor, extremely condescending, makes everyone uncomfortable, and is difficult to be around. She doesn't want you to learn anything; she just wants to prove she is right.

Prof. Nyhoff cares deeply about her students and strives to guide them in learning the correct material for quizzes. Quizzes account for 43% of the grade, so take them seriously and complete the reading. She does her best to make the material engaging, and I found it interesting, but some readers might find the readings boring. Great class.

Truly awful professor and human being. She's condescending, creepy, and rude. She will target certain students and try to humiliate them as much as possible. You can tell she reeks of insecurity and takes it out on her students. We'd often joke about how bad she was before she'd enter class each morning.

Quality 4/5Difficulty 2/5
Prof Nyhoff is super sweet and clearly cares about all students. Class was relatively stimulating with cases and guest speakers but easy enough to not stress over. She is a little insecure in her teaching style and seeks validation which can be awkward, but overall a fine class and worth taking if you're interested in ESG/CSR

The bigger issue with this class is just how MHR 300 is set up. However, she does not help the experience at all. Lectures are surface level and mostly common sense, yet she still manages to be very condescending. I cannot recall a single thing I learned from this class.

This professor has an obnoxious amount of coursework. The lectures are boring and dry. I would never take her class again.
