Karyn Riddle was by FAR the best professor I've ever had. She is so down to earth, so organized, and just gets that we are all...human! Didn't have time to do an assignment? She gets it. Not only does she get it but she reaches out privately to make sure everything is ok. She's also so enthusiastic about her job&makes her lectures enjoyable.

One of my fav professors ever. Karyn was so compassionate and wanted her students to succeed. She made the course content truly engaging, even when it seemed like it would be boring. She was so passionate about the material she was teaching. Group project was fairly easy with the right group. Would definitely take her classes again.

Professor Riddle is amazing, she really cares about students. I'm bad at math, but she is fantastic at explaining concepts in a way that is easy to understand! There is a big project in this class, but it's broken down into benchmarks so it's not overwhelming. I will be taking my third class with her next year, she is my favorite professor at UW!

Professor Riddle is one of the best professors I have had. She was super understanding and the online lectures were short and interesting. There was some reading but not much, and we had a ton of time for the group project so it wasn't overwhelming. I'm definitely planning on taking another class with Prof Riddle if possible!

Above all, Riddle is a caring human. This was my 2nd class with her. During the pandemic, she made our online semester full of intriguing content and engaging lectures, but also showed us compassion and grace and was accommodating. Fair exams, entertaining assignments, fun convos in lecture, lax group project. Take a class with Karyn Riddle!

Karyn is a real sweetheart who cares about her students. Go to lecture and its an easy A. Lots of readings, but she usually goes over the main points in lecture. Grade consists of 3 mini 10-point assignments, 2 exams and a small group project.

Riddle is really nice and it was pretty easy to do well in Strategic Media Planning. She can be kind of passive-aggressive sometimes (sent multiple students emails to tell them to stop talking in class). This is class is pretty project-heavy, and there are also two midterms; it's really good if you're thinking about going into marketing.

Awesome class if you're interested in strategic communications and media. She is super caring and gives you everything you need to succeed. There is 2 exams, which are super fair/easy, and 1 semester-long project. I feel like I learned a lot without realizing I was even learning. Really good professor.

Karyn is awesome and this class is great for those looking to go into strategic communications careers or media planning. The whole semester is revolved around an individual project that gives you a great portfolio piece. Just two exams (she gives you review sheets) and some readings. You can tell she really cares about her students.

I love Karyn! She's very relaxed and wants to see her students succeed. She has experience, albeit not extensive, working in media. The semester-long project is a lot of work but it's incredibly rewarding to have something to bring to a job interview. Take this course!

This was a great class, very interesting material and fun assignments. No textbook, just readings online. 4 short assignments (watch a Disney movie and talk about fear responses etc.)2 fair exams (multiple choice and short answer), and one group project. Karyn is a great lecturer and very approachable. Highly recommended

Karyn is really nice and approachable. Very willing to answer questions and make sure material is clear. Discussion assignments seem like busy work. Overall though, if you're going to take 565, take it with Riddle.

Loved her. The subject was interesting and I really enjoyed going to class. Karyn is really helpful and interested in the topic and wants her students to be as well. I highly recommend this one!

She was great! This class is really interesting and she really wants you to learn. She knows her stuff and makes the studies and readings fun and interesting. Definitely take her!
