My favorite class of all 4 years at UW. Jonah knows a ton about Hollywood history. His lectures were enthusiastic and sometimes really funny. The 1st research paper (on movie theaters) was kind of a challenge and he should probably cut down on the reading a little, but the class was still fun, we watched a lot of great movies, and I learned a lot.Rate My Professors ↗

Based 20% of grade on pop quizzes in lectures and screenings, in lieu of midterm. This was NOT helpful, whatsoever. Also assigned an extensive research paper without ensuring that the information he was looking for would be available in the places he said to look. Also assigned mandatory extra screenings every week. Too much work for 3 credits.Rate My Professors ↗
