Dr. Surdyk was very passionate about Entrepreneurship and Business, which made it easy to listen to him. He genuinely cares for his students and his work, which made me want to work hard in this class. John is a good, quirky professor. He is very nice and easy to talk to. The material for this course was pretty boring & mainly common sense. There was no midterm, just case write-ups, a final, and a group project. You do get graded on participation, but it is only 5% of your grade. John is one of my favorite professors thus far! He's quite strange but this is actually what makes the class so enjoyable. The material is dry but John's quirkiness is hilarious. I would not recommend the textbook since his two quizzes are only from the slides (very easy). Additionally, I would suggest doing his extra credit oppurtunities!Rate My Professors ↗
Overall I'd recommend this course. Although the class should have moved faster (it was really a 2credit workload) the readings were interesting and Surdyk was fun to listen and talk to. Your grades will mostly be participation and group projects, and as long as you work at it you should get an A. The LEC also usually starts late and ends earlyRate My Professors ↗
John is a nice guy, but his class is very boring and long. I had to take this class for the ERLC. The class is heavily based on group projects and there is not a lot of outside work.
