Jess Gilbert's CE SOC 230 class had many dry readings that were hard not to fall asleep while you were reading them. Lectures, however, were engaging and covered a broad range of ideas. Reading the materials is recommended but not necessary. Easy to get an A or AB. Only 2 tests and 1 lecture. No final!!Rate My Professors ↗
Tremendous professor! It was incredibly refreshing to have taken this course with Dr. Gilbert. He is truly passionate about the subject and makes this topic fun to learn about. Furthermore, he lectures exactly what will be on the test, and he is truly inspirational to listen to!Rate My Professors ↗
Great professor! Really nice guy. He can go off on tangents, sometimes, but they are usually interesting stories. The class is interesting, too. You do have to write a 5-page paper. There is a decent amount of reading, but it's not too bad.Rate My Professors ↗
Very knowledgeable and straight forward. Jess has a way with teaching undergrads and making agricultural history to seem less boring. Lecture is a tad bit misorganized at times, but excellent overall. Discussion is mandatory but good for review and group input. 1 paper to do-not that big of a deal, reading is sometimes boring, sometimes not.Rate My Professors ↗
