About this rating

Raw average: 3.92/5 from 13 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

Quality 4/5Difficulty 2/5
Class was 1/3 Nutri Sci content and 2/3 Econ content which is the part Prof Foltz taught. It's clear he is very passionate about the topics he teaches, but the class can get pretty boring sometimes. Exams are basically content off the slides and aren't hard, you just can't get too many wrong if you're aiming for an A since exams are worth 75%.

This class is 1/3 Nutri sci content and 2/3 Econ content, was graded on 3 exams worth 75% and 5 homeworks worth 25%. Class was kind of boring and was easier to watch on 2x speed later. It's clear Professor Foltz is passionate about what he teaches, which makes it easier to pay attention. Exams are basically content from the slides and aren't hard.

Pretty boring class if its not something you're super interested in, but Professor Foltz is a good guy and you can tell he wants you to learn. Exams are fair but you'll learn better if you go to lecture vs just looking at slides.

Professor Foltz was an engaging lecturer. Jeremy taught the 2 economics section of the course. The class is graded by 4 homeworks 3 exams and a quiz. All the assignments are easy and assessments were not difficult, they are multiple choice basically right off the slides. Every lecture was recorded and you don't need to read the textbook to succeed.

I really enjoyed having Jeremy as a professor he's engaging, approachable, and genuinely helpful. The exams are challenging, so don't expect an easy A, but if you put in the effort to understand the concepts and graphs, the material is manageable. The course is well-structured, and support is readily available when you need it.

Although the exams for this class were hard, it was very easy to get help from the TA's or the professor. Attendance was not mandatory, but I would still go because professor Foltz because I could tell how much he cared about the content. Overall, a great professor and I would love to have him again.
