DO NOT listen to the rest of the "good" reviews from other students below mine. she makes us learn everything outside of class which WE paid with our own tutition for them to teach us. it doesn't make sense for this class to be flipped when it's physiology. worse professor ever please retire already.Rate My Professors ↗
Toughest gen ed I've taken. You are expected to teach yourself the material via videos over the weekend. Dr. Branchaw was nice and knowledgeable but I would've preferred traditional lectures.Rate My Professors ↗
While I enjoyed the anatomy portion, this class has a heavy focus on physiology and detailed processes. The class is set up so that you learn your content for the week Fri-Sun. You are responsible for learning and understanding the materials before class, and the lectures are all about application. Use your discussion sections to help you!Rate My Professors ↗
Professor Branchaw is a nice person and I find that it helps when she actually teaches to us, but most of the time that does not happen. Pre-work for the week is designed to take a long time. We've been seeing averages of 60% for the quizzes. Your TA matters for this course, as besides teaching yourself everything, they will be next to help.Rate My Professors ↗
To summarize what I'm about to say: DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS. I'm an English and Poli Sci major and I took ANATPHY 235 for my bio breadth requirement. I won't be doing that anymore - I dropped the class 2 and a half weeks in. SUPER heavy workload, which you do most of from Friday-Sunday. TA really matters, and I didn't get a good one.
