Dr. Diffee is incredible. You can tell that he really does care about educating his students in a way that makes them want to learn. Would recommend taking a class with him if you have the chance.
Dr. Diffee is an amazing lecturer. The information he presents is intricate, but he makes it easy to understand. He is understanding to students situations, and he has a friendly and helpful personality.
Dr. Diffee is my favorite professor as of right now! He cares about all the students and makes his lectures interactive (sometimes). He's also a fun person to get to know. The only downside is that you won't know your grades of your assignments until the end of the semester. Otherwise, you'll enjoy Dr. Diffee!
Really great guy. His lectures are very advanced and a bit confusing but he makes sure to answer questions
Super easy class and chill guy. He gets super distracted though and can't get his words out. It's honestly kind of annoying. If you can overlook that though he is a great guy that really wants his students to succeed. Class consists of projects over the course of the semester and one final at the end. Overall really easy class.
Great FIG professor! His class consisted of lectures, demonstrations, student presentations. He really cares about his students and wants to see them succeed.
Diffee is great for the FIGS course. He is very caring and willing to help outside of class. Projects are manageable and he is clear about what is on the final. You learn a lot of physiology. Not an easy A, but not a hard A.
His lectures sometime get disorganized as he writes stuff everywhere on the chalkboard. It is nice how he gives out outlines for each lecture so you have something to help you keep on track. Exams are pretty difficult as it is all short answer application questions. He is way more clear than the other professor for this class! Labs are pointless.
Took this class as part of my FIG, and it was awesome! Diffee does a great job of giving us an overview of exercise physiology, even though we don't know too much about it yet. As a freshmen, we got a lot of experience doing actual kinesiology experiments. AWESOME class taught by a GREAT professor
He seems passionate about what he teaches and does his best to get the class excited about the topics too. Did a lot of research but was not an overwhelming amount. If you are interested in exercise, his class is perfect! I learned a lot without doing too much outside of class, and I enjoyed it a lot.
Diffee is super nice .. However, he never really makes eye contact with his students, he's always looking around the room and it's actually really distracting. However, he knows his stuff really well and doesn't give any assignments that are hard. He's really big on citing sources so be sure you actually know how to do it properly.
Super nice guy. You can't bs him if you don't actually know what you are talking about. He cares a lot about the process not the end result. very approachable
I took this class as a part of my FIG and it was so easy! Diffee is an awesome guy and although the class is more about the process and not the content, I did learn a lot from him! This class will NOT take up a lot of your time, but it will be interesting if you love kinesiology and bio! No exams or textbook, just a couple projects & one final!
After having an extremely hard time with Physiology I was terrified of this class. BUT Diffee is AMAZING. He is by far my favorite professor at this school. If you work hard and study hard you can totally get the A. Take advantage of office hours to clarify the concepts, though. You might think you know them when you really don't.
Took his physiology of human performance class which was a first year interest group class (FIG). Easier than 1st grade art class (although all figs are). Dr. Diffee is KIND, APPROACHABLE, KNOWLEDGABLE, INTERESTING, FAIR, AND CHILL AS HELL!
This class is harder than it seems. Exams are not very straight forward and considering there is not enough time given for the exams, it's hard to get an A;the grading is strict. I used the textbook a lot. Loved the labs though.
Great professor. Makes class fun, and doesn't make it harder than it needs to be. You don't actually NEED the book - he provides lecture outlines and you're responsible for those, although you need to take good notes. Got an A, but earned it. You'll need to study in this class.
