About this rating

Raw average: 2.69/5 from 16 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

A brilliant woman who seems to struggle with social interactions. Sometimes also smug and condescending – depending on what she thinks of you. To be fair, I did learn quite a bit from her despite the negative impact she had on my semester.

I found her to be a deeply disrespectful and incompetent professor who bullied students to protect her own interests. How people like her end up in tenure track positions is beyond me but I hope UW wakes up and starts cleaning its ranks of people like her someday. Really disappointing.

Hannah is one of the best professors I've ever had. She cares about her students and is very very knowledgable. She was always willing to answer questions. The assignments for this class were always interesting. Genuinely one of the funnest classes I've taken.

Quality 5/5Difficulty 1/5
Hannah is very competent to teach this subject and enjoys engaging with the students. This course was EXTREMELY easy. If you participate and do the readings, you'll get an A. The only thing I took issue with was that the grading criteria could be a little more clear. Overall, this was an amazing class and an amazing honors-optional class.

Quality 1/5Difficulty 5/5
I had done pretty well, or so I thought. The difficulty level and rigor seemed unnecessary. Peers wanted to be successful, myself included but nobody could reach their deserved grades in the end. Intense but why, what benefit or real payoff of coursework? Not worth it.

Definitely knowledgeable in her subject as a professor, which was great. Could be very uncomfortable to talk one on one with her because it was hard to gauge what she thought about you/your work. Fine class, but you have to put in extra work to get an A.
