Hoffman is a knowledgeable instructor who explains Verilog and synthesis clearly. His videos are organized, and he's always willing to help when students have questions. Overall, a great professor for learning digital design.

Professor doesnt even teach in class. All he does is ask us to look at video and not do anythinv by himself. As a result the quality of class is really bad and not learning anything. Also he has always found to be chatting with people casually while ignoring the needs of students. He also likes to target a few students where according to them grade

genuinely such a kind and funny professor. if you have the opportunity to take hoffman in any class do it, you will not regret hearing his dry and witty comments that actually make topics fun to learn. put in the effort and he will reciprocate your energy by giving you his time to answer all of your questions. cannot recommend him enough :)
