With little to no labs (So much so we almost didn't get enough done for the college credit) and constant lectures. The only thing he truly went over was homework. In the end, he seemed to almost have given up on the class, and even though most got an A+, we learned nothing.Rate My Professors ↗
He was my TA for gen chem. He does not keep on task with his bad jokes, references to his previous teaching of ochem, and wondering how he is doing as a teacher. In discussion, he splits us into groups and has us struggle with material we have not even been taught yet! He does not explain anything in multiple ways. He's not teaching anymore but I had him back when I took 343. Genuinely cares about his students. He's a funny guy and did a great job of making a comfortable learning environment. I know Dr. Ress is no longer teaching, and just doing research, but I was in his 343 class when he first started teaching. He gave extra help to students by being online with a chat session, and he taught pretty well. Lots of slides, lots of notes. Difficult course, but fun at the same time.Rate My Professors ↗
Terrible terrible prof Cares more about showing how much he knows than teaching. Exams are ridiculously unfair no partial credit is given so you can show knowledge of a concept and still get zero points on the question. Unless you are a girl who likes to spend lots of time in office hours and sit in the front row do NOT take his class.Rate My Professors ↗
Well, he didn't do a good job explaining the material...and sometimes he screw things up because he is an organic chemist instead of an analytical chemist. His tests are amazingly easy though....Rate My Professors ↗
