He always breaks complicated topics to small understandable points. Every session start with a cool historical point, and the discussion questions are great. HW is really helpful and reasonable. Very knowledgable professor in the field of optics.

Definitely a breath of fresh air after learning from Prof. Winokur for the first quarter. Yavuz goes at a nice pace and likes to make sure the class understands. Unfortunately, it caused us to miss a section or two at the end. His exams are still kinda tricky, but it doesn't demoralize you.
