David is a great guy and really cares about how everyone is doing. He is super funny and smart, really helped me be a better communicator. Lots of busy work, and definitely need to put in effort to get an A. Gave me a poor grade for having medical leave despite doing all of the assignments. He claimed that attending lecture was mandatory to understanding the writing assignments that already had instructions on the canvas page and gave me 0's for late work despite having academic accommodations. Attendance is mandatory. The classes are really boring and you ant use your computer during class. There are two individual presentations that were stressful for me. There is a final huge portfolio worth the majority of the course grade, and it was so stressful and the topic was not intriguing.Rate My Professors ↗
Prof. David was an awesome for GB360. He wanted us to succeed in the course and was so accessible and helpful. I don't think he's a harsh grader at all, the grading criteria is super clear and he gives in-depth feedback, so if you lose points it's on you! There is a ton of work to do but it's a comm class so not surprising. I enjoyed this class!Rate My Professors ↗
Do NOT take GB300 with David Ward. This dude is a harsh grader and is against you all semester. I averaged a 16/20 on the emails because he would take off points for every small thing. For example, I got a point off for the heading at the top of my email for it saying SUBJECT: Apology: ... He said I used double colons. take the other prof, way easyRate My Professors ↗
I took GB300 in the summer with Professor Ward. He is a nice professor and loves to talk. We had fewer assignments in the summer (in a shorter amount of time), so I can't attest to the school year, but it's (a lot of) manageable work. Sometimes objectives are unclear, but if you put in time and make an effort, getting a strong grade is possible!Rate My Professors ↗
