About this rating

Raw average: 2.75/5 from 4 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

Hydroscience no matter the professor is a difficult course due to workload and constant assignments. Professor Wright is very smart in his field and respects feedback. This is demonstrated by his curve and opportunities for extra credit which are relatively easy. If you understand the homework and don't cheat it, you should get a high B to A.

Unnecessarily difficult all around and way to much work

Quality 2/5Difficulty 4/5
Homeworks are unnecessarily long and defeat the purpose of getting practice given how obscure the content is. The only practical problems you do will be in lecture. There is a writing assignment and presentation which serve no other purpose than to create busy work. Should focus on preparing for the FE, but instead demands your time for nothing.

Good professor with a great attitude who genuinely cared about students. My one issue is that the level of difficulty didn't reflect lectures at all, examples in lecture were clear/easy & then homework would take 10-20 hours (as a group) & exams would be 3+ hours. Overall great guy, look for a good TA, do work in a timely manner, & you'll be good.
