- Flexible material distribution according to most students' background and interests. - Strong feeling that he expect us to learn instead of punishing us. - Super positive outside class to help us. - He can be pushy sometimes, but I think this is not a big deal. Teaching style is great, but some stuff could be better explained by going through problems slowly. Most of the confusion can be cleared up in office hours as he's better at explaining things 1 on 1. He also tends to ask tough questions to push your understanding of the material. (Side note: he likes talking about football a lot.)Rate My Professors ↗
Professor Rhodes should not be teaching a laboratory class. He does not provide grading rubrics because he considers it to be cheating. He leaves the 3 hour class after 15 minutes without further explanation, leaving the TA's to figure things out. Gives the most condescending feedback and will not miss the chance to look down on students.Rate My Professors ↗
I loved my lab classes before I had to take MSE 362 with Professor Rhodes. He's rude, condescending, and dismissive, and leaves lab after dumping a ton of difficult information and instructions on us, leaving us to figure out the lab with little to no help. He doesn't provide a rubric, grades harshly and leaves very little or no feedback.Rate My Professors ↗
