Phanuef is nice. lectures are really boring/dry. quizzes and exams aren't “difficult “ inherently but multiple answers seem right or aren't bad answers so it can be hard to decipher. lots of reading. the excel stuff is terrible. not much in gradebook overall. attendance isn't mandatory but needed for points (so basically is mandatory).Rate My Professors ↗

He's nice and kind to talk to during class, and lectures are fairly smooth if you do the pre-class reading. Exams are going to be easy as long as you review all his ppts and notes. His explains difficult terms very clearly and is very accessible during office hours as well.Rate My Professors ↗
Quality 2/5Difficulty 4/5
This class is not hard, however, Phaneuf is hard. His lectures are dry and tons of heavy readings are given, which are quizzed on. In the midst of COVID, we are expected to make every class at 8 am. Pop quizzes are given for attendance with NO drops or makeups. One 2 pt quiz can be drastic to your grade. Awfully designed course by the chair himselfRate My Professors ↗
Quality 5/5Difficulty 1/5
Going to class technically isn't mandatory- only if you want the points. If you do not show up you won't be able to access the participation activities or small pop quizzes, so you almost have to go. The class is only out of 100 points so missing one quiz hurts you. But other than that his grading is super light and fair so assignments aren't hardRate My Professors ↗
Quality 5/5Difficulty 2/5
Dr. Phaneuf respects his students, and is easy to reach out to for questions or just to talk to. His lectures are sometimes dry, he assigns a lot of readings and sometimes has short quizzes during class. However, take notes, listen to his lectures, and they're not hard. He tries to minimize homework for the class and cares what people have to say.Rate My Professors ↗

He is nice and gentle. His lectures are clear and he always tries to make things easy to understand. Do the review questions then you will get A.Rate My Professors ↗
