Definitely not an easy class, she is a very tough but fair grader and explained why I got points off. Previously I have struggled a lot with public speaking and giving presentations, but because of this class and her teaching I was able to overcome that. I thought it was going to be a useless class but it ended up being one of the most useful.Rate My Professors ↗

Professor Poe is an engaging and effective lecturer, and I genuinely learned a lot from her course. However, her grading is quite harsh, which sometimes made the effort I put into the class feel pointless. I would certainly take another course with her if grading were not such a significant factor.Rate My Professors ↗
Quality 4/5Difficulty 3/5
Cindy is a great lecturer who understands the importance of what she teaches. She clearly puts a lot of effort into putting lesson plans together and teaches effectively. People get upset that a writing class isn't significantly easier than an engineering class. Take this class seriously, put in some effort, pay attention, and you'll be fine.Rate My Professors ↗
Quality 5/5Difficulty 3/5
The only reason why Cindy has bad ratings is because she has actual standards. If you put in above minimal effort into her class you will do fine. She is a great lecturer and gives valuable feedback on assignments.Rate My Professors ↗

Try to get a diff professor, otherwise expect a bad grade.Rate My Professors ↗
Quality 1/5Difficulty 4/5
She has a low grade average for 397 and grades everything more severely than other professors teaching the course. Most feedback is arbitrary and is written around how she doesn't understand technical topics that are the basis of introductory courses here.Rate My Professors ↗
