About this rating

Raw average: 4.50/5 from 40 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

Christine is so sweet, caring, and compassionate. She creates such a warm environment and made class enjoyable and low-stress. Was such a nice break in an otherwise busy day. The content was interesting and class is heavily discussion based. The curriculum feels scattered and redundant at points, but that may just be the topic matter.

If all professors were like Dr. Garlough, the world would be a much better place. Lectures are full of lots of information but the environment is very friendly and Dr. Garlough is very understanding.

Professor Garlough is super sweet and has her students' best interest at heart. However, the required readings were not discussed during discussion most of the time, and her lectures covered so many topics, but all superficially. Her slides had too much information on. The midterm/final and paper were all fairly easy to do well on and get an A.

Best professor hands down. Genuinely cares about her students wellbeing and taking something out of her class. Not hard grader, she just wants you to learn and take what's being said in her class to the outside world. She IS amazing. She's so personable and super interesting to listen to. HIGHLY recommend!
