About this rating

Raw average: 5.00/5 from 24 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

Kate is a very personable and enjoyable professor who loves what she does. She appreciates participation and effort. Very accessible. One exam = final. Weekly discussions are easy if you make them (read the material!!). Not graded on much so do your best on every assignment. So much reading I was always a little behind. Slides + lectures on Canvas.

Not many assignments. One in class exam, which was the final. The final is a written essay on two questions. Not much to say. All lectures are recorded and streamed. Discussions were easy.

This professor is very passionate and engaging. This course is very reading heavy and there are reading quizzes about every week (with warning). There are also weekly papers and a final assignment (no exams). In-class discussions are key for participation points.

Absolutely love Professor Phelps, she's so helpful and cares for her students. The course is easy to understand as long you show up to lectures, even if they're not mandatory, still try to go when you don't feel like it.
