This class is such an easy gen ed. You should definitely take this class for your physical science credit. There are no exams, and attendance is mandatory except for the labs once a week, which are easy, and the TAs help you out. The professor has excellent lectures; they are entertaining even if you're not into geology.Rate My Professors ↗
Nice professor, good lectures, but she curved the class in the wrong direction at the end. My A became an AB. I mean I understand due to alot of high scores, but surely they know this is a gen ed course in which people are looking for an A. Lectures were not only boring but didn't support growth. We ran through slideshows for a hour every lecture with horrible material. Class is graded very easily, but I can honestly say I learned nothing. My TA was genuinely the worst TA I've had yet at UW. Frankly, an entire waste of my time.Rate My Professors ↗
I loved this class!! I learned a lot over the semester and it wasn't too hard at all. Chloe was really engaging and funny and I would def take another class of hers in the future. Most of the grade was weekly online quizzes that were easy if you paid attention in the lecture.Rate My Professors ↗
Dr. Bonamici is passionate about GeoSci, which helps in enjoyment of the class. For a 100-level class, it's an easy science credit to take. No exams, just pre-class questions, weekly quizzes, and participation points. Labs are most the taxing thing you'll do in the course, bc they build upon lecture/textbook material. Professor B is an overall nice professor. She is passionate about the subject and makes the content easy to understand in lectures. Geosci 100 has no exams. Your grade is based on weekly quizzes and labs. But she tends to make the weekly quizzes unnecessarily tricky so if you pay attention and take notes in lecture, you'll probably be fine.Rate My Professors ↗
