About this rating

Raw average: 4.54/5 from 54 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

I took Dr Williams in the fall, and I felt the class itself fit very well with her teaching style. There was a lot of activities during lecture and ways to participate. The content wasn't too tough, and to be honest we didn't spend much time on the hard things (jacobian/stokes). Overall, great professor for this class. Go to lecture to do well.

Dr. Williams is a good teacher, and wants to see students succeed. Sometimes she goes slow on easy topics and then too fast on hard topics though. Homework is harder than exams and sometimes a waste of time. Lecture is pretty boring, but its a good idea to go.

great professor who meets students where they are and has excellent notes that were posted, as well as the lectures recorded. Made the content approachable and clearly understood which topics were harder for students to grasp.

I loved her! She knows what she's teaching and is thorough in her explanations. There's a lot of time spent on problem examples in class. The class is test heavy but she explains everything well and the lecture videos/notes are always posted. My TA was also great, and the discussions (even tho not mandatory) are helpful.

She is amazing, she is very kind and will work with students during lecture even if you don't ask for help. All of the lectures are recorded which is nice. She skips through a lot of examples, but she is really good at breaking things down. So far the best prof in the math department that I have had.

Super hard class, she seemed fine but it annoyed me that she acted like we were behind right when the semester started so we like rushed the first 2 units. She pmo sometimes because of her milleinial/genx ness but she posted lectures so you didnt have to go so early in the mornign which was nice.
