Dr Loewen was a good professor and she definitely cares a lot about the subject, she used lots of slides and would go until the very last minute of lecture regardless, which made it confusing at times. The exams were not too bad and the group study guides were very helpful (but were graded harsh at times).Rate My Professors ↗
Professor Loewen is very kind and cares a lot about her students. I see a lot of people hating and I don't know why. An important caveat to her classes is that you have to be interested in the topic and willing to take lecture notes as well as pay attention in class. All of the lectures were recorded and posted onto Canvas, making it easier to look back on notes. She also spoke in the perfect speed. Although, the quizzes had material that we never covered in class.Rate My Professors ↗
Very interesting course, and Dr. Loewen seemed passionate about this material. She is accommodating and is quick to reply to emails. There are pre-class assignments before each class, with five drops. The exams were all online and doable with a good understanding of the material.Rate My Professors ↗
I've enjoyed Neurogenetics with Dr. Loewen this semester. She's a passionate and entertaining lecturer. Exams are online and open note, so I found taking good notes helpful.
