Manages to break down advanced concepts very well. Motivates almost everything with examples. The homework directly prepares you for the exams which are very straight forward. Class is lecture-heavy but the lectures are very engaging.

Professor Wang is a IMO Gold Medalist. I expected him to teach us several competition style techniques, but the truth is that you can tell that he is way too busy for his research. Nonetheless, he is great at decomposing bigger problems into smaller ones, which makes understanding pretty easy

Lecture notes in general were unorganized and very messy. I think he is a nice prof who tries his best, but you will end up learning more on youtube for the class. Had 3 exams worth 86% of grade total. Rest was discussion quizzes and homework that were all fairly easy and had 2/3 drops. Look for someone different.

Wang's lectures for 222 are awful. His notes are unorganized and messy. His explanations are confusing and unhelpful. He can't help it, but his accent and stuttering makes a bad explanation worse. He doesn't explain what we're learning & writes on the notes app, which results in missed notes as soon as he scrolls down. Switch lectures if you can.

Botong is really fun. I'd definitely recommend going to lectures. He's a good lecturer. He has a bit of an accent, but I almost never had trouble understanding him. He can be fun sometimes too. Like he used being a sniper as an analogy when talking about polar coordinates, which I still remember. Overall I found 234 enjoyable and not too hard.
