She is supposedly an easy grader, but only if you're the same ethnicity as her. I have had her ask me some questionable things, she is very passionate but you don't know your grade till the end of the semester and if you're not an amazing writer you won't get an A.Rate My Professors ↗
I Took ILS 367 with Professor Botero. She is the best professor I've had; super caring, passionate, and enjoys teaching her students. She is a very good literary analyst and explains difficult concepts between texts with ease. I took ILS 367 (Migration in the Americas) in F24 with her. She is super passionate about what she teaches and the course material is always unexpectedly insightful. Her lectures are delivered with thematic clarity and always end on a conclusive note. One of the best prof I have had here. She is super energetic and passionate about her lectures, and you can really tell that she is aiming for the best for her students. Botero is a great professor. She makes lectures very interesting and you can tell she genuinely cares about her students. There is quite a bit of reading, so be prepared for that. Otherwise, the courseload is quite manageable. There is a presentation, essay, and final exam but she gives very flexible deadlines and provides clear instructions.Rate My Professors ↗
