His lectures are not as bad as other reviews described. Though the logic is abstract, it's thought-provoking and helps one understand the essence of the subject. It takes effort to grasp his logic, but studying diligently will lead to understanding. While his test questions can be challenging and unexpected, Yunrui's discussion is quite helpful.Rate My Professors ↗
Expect a challenging but rewarding class. The lectures are proofs and cover what was in the books. Make sure to always take notes and form discussion groups. The professor was extremely accessible and made it known to everyone that he was open to feedback and to changing the class. I was personally extremely underwhelmed with Professor Yethiraj's teaching. This class is very frustrating and demoralizing. Content taught in lecture barely corresponds to homework and discussion assignments. I enjoyed the research project that is a component of this class, but would generally not recommend this class. The class is tough, but Professor Yethiraj seems to truly care about his students when you reach out. He's teaching tough material and a lot of the learning is done outside of the class. Overall he is truly caring and a great guy.Rate My Professors ↗
Probably the single worst professor I've ever had. Completely inaccessible out of class, didn't comply with requested accommodations, and gave absolutely no study materials.
